| Two years of throat pain follow tonsillectomy
My 22-year-old son had a tonsillectomy two years ago and, since then, has not had a day without throat pain. He feels like there is a knife in his throat. He also is having difficulty swallowing, not swallowing food, but he must clear his throat constantly. It is especially bad in the morning. He also was diagnosed with acid reflux. He has taken every medication given with no relief. He also had a swallowing test and an endoscopy done, both showing nothing. He just called from college and said he was feeling really awful, but didn't want to try another doctor and get his hopes up again. Any suggestions? It’s high time Columbia had a similar sister city
Columbias new sister city - or brother city, depending on your mind-set - should be San Francisco. Its so obvious I cant imagine why someone hasnt proposed it before. Having lived in both places, I feel qualified to point out the striking similarities between the two. Before my idea is dismissed as simply a senior citizens rambling, let me make my case by comparing how much the two areas have in common. San Francisco has a bridge across the Golden Gate beckoning to luxurious Marin County. We have a bridge across the Missouri River beckoning to the lush Boonville bottoms. They have Fishermans Wharf, a smelly, scruffy tourist area noted for its pungent odors and down-at-the-heels appearance.
